Q & A

We received this message from a newbie to our story. I will continue to post any questions & answers to help those who are unclear about our dream. Please remember that we are just starting out & the recent attention to our dream was unexpected...the media frenzy...aaaahhhh! Much of the "work" that Erin does is supported & often carried out by her friends & family. We want her to have the opportunity to have time to work through her grief too. Her dream & story is out there & helping many.

 Hey Erin,
I hope you don't mind me sending this through your facebook account. First, i voted for your dream and would, just to keep a long-running family item in someone's family. My question is, once you get the house (which you will lol) how will you help others as you wish?

I understand (to a degree) what you've gone through. I myself have lived with a chronic illness since i was a baby and even though im a survivor i know what my parents went through as well. I guess im just trying to get an idea of what you want to do. Are you gonna house people or be like a 'counseling' type of organization for the parents/children?

Response:

So my dream is BIG so there are many phases to our plan for Erin's Dream. Initially, we are restoring the property to serve as a place where families can come, enjoy the property, walking/biking trail, creek & socialize freely without the feelings of alienation that happen when you lose a child. Also, we would like to offer the property as a place for fund-raising events to help support families, like ours who have a terminally ill child or have lost a child. I myself, would not obviously be offering counseling services, but we would also offer to property & house as a place for hosting groups & meetings for counseling organizations. I hope that helps?
